No longer the doormat

Ok, so today is not starting off the way I had hoped.  In fact, that has been the "story" of my life for the past few years.  However, today is the day that I change that story and rewrite it to the one that I want it to be.

I was recently reading the blog of a fellow Heritage Maker and was so inspired by how she was writing about living life out loud!  With my birthday fast approaching, I think that I am ready to make some changes and do the same!  I think that I have been doing a great job of living the kind of life that those around me want, but it is my turn to live the life that I want to live as well!  

I think that as a mom, a wife, a teacher, a woman, we get stuck in the ruts of life that leave us drained from all that we do to make sure that others are taken care of.  I love to do things for others.  As a matter of fact, nothing makes me happier!  However, the part about being true to myself is where I need a little bit of work!  Why is it so hard to let those who have "walked all over you" know?  

So, here is to New Year's Resolutions a bit early!  Today is a new day and it is going to be a great one!  I look forward to rewriting my story and being so proud of it in the end!!

All Day Lap Top Crop

Yes, it has been awhile (yet again) since I posted a blog.  Many things have been going on with the beginning of the new school year, the announcement of some AMAZING new Heritage Makers projects, and flu season!  But I am back!!

For those of you who are dying to have some quality time with your laptop and your Heritage Makers studio, I am offering you a day away!  That is right!  My wonderful team and I are hosting an all day LAP TOP CROP!  Here is the info:

When:  Saturday, November 14th

Where:  Homewood Suites - Millersport Highway, AMherst, NY

Time:  10am - 3pm

Cost:  $10 

This will include lunch, refreshments while you work, hourly tips and tricks, raffles, games, prizes and so much more!
